can't install "critical updates"
I ran perhaps six or seven beta builds on this box and uninstalled and returned to IE6 each time before installing a new build. I usually ran IE6 for about a day, including updating it with any patches that had been released, and never encountered and problems before installing the next version of IE7.

What you are getting now is a beta product and beta builds can happen very fast. If you've noticed of the 8 or so patches to InfoPower 2000, 3 of them had to be immeadiately pulled Woll2Woll, like Borland, will have to do more extensive testing on patching released software than they have to on beta updates.

If you are running a Beta build of XP SP2, and you run System File Checker, and are prompted to install the XP CD-ROM and it is the original XP SP1 CD, will this substitute any SP1 files, or after completionwill the OS still function with the proper SP2 files?
